At Sopodiva Training Centre Ltd, the safety, dignity, and well-being of every learner—especially children and vulnerable individuals—are our highest priority. We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants in our programs, whether on-site or online.

1. Scope of the Policy

This policy applies to:

  • All Sopodiva staff, facilitators, volunteers, and service providers

  • Children, young people, and vulnerable adults engaged in Sopodiva programs

  • All Sopodiva learning environments, accommodations, and events

2. Our Commitment

We are committed to:

  • Providing a safe, secure, and nurturing space for children and young learners

  • Preventing and addressing any form of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or harm

  • Promoting a culture of openness, respect, and responsibility

  • Ensuring that all staff and partners understand and fulfill their safeguarding duties

3. Code of Conduct

All Sopodiva team members are required to:

  • Act respectfully and professionally at all times

  • Maintain appropriate boundaries with learners, especially minors

  • Avoid any behavior that may be interpreted as abusive, intimidating, or inappropriate

  • Report concerns immediately according to our internal procedures

4. Staff Training & Screening

  • All staff working with children or vulnerable groups must undergo background checks and screening.

  • Staff receive safeguarding training and guidance on reporting procedures.

5. Reporting & Response

  • Any suspected abuse, harm, or inappropriate behavior must be reported to the designated Safeguarding Officer immediately.

  • All reports will be taken seriously and handled sensitively, promptly, and in line with legal obligations.

6. Accommodation & Supervision

  • Children and minors in Sopodiva programs are supervised by trained staff.

  • Accommodations are arranged with safety and gender considerations in mind.

  • Parental or guardian consent is required for any child participating in a Sopodiva program.

7. Media & Consent

  • Parental or guardian consent is required before using photos, videos, or testimonials of minors for promotional purposes.

8. Online Safety

  • Online programs for children include secure platforms, moderated sessions, and guidance on digital safety.

  • Parents are encouraged to monitor online participation and communicate any concerns.

9. Policy Review

This policy is reviewed annually and updated as needed to reflect best practices and legal developments.
